I like trying out new mattress to see what is going on in the mattress world. I’ve been digging around and exploring the WOLF Mattresses and really liking what I see. The one Mattress I’ve been really playing with is the WOLF Slumber Express Pillow Top Ortho Back Aid Mattress.
I’ve seen some reviews on them, but really no one really answers the most important questions about these mattresses. So what I did is compiled some of the most common questions people might have about this mattress and others like it and I post the questions with the answers down below.
I hope this makes the buy decision a little bit easier for you!
Is It Firm?
It’s not really that firm. I would say its more medium firmness then anything else. The soft pillow top really makes it a bit softer then you might expect.
Some might find this mattress to be firm, but to me its not that firm. So your mileage may very.
Does It Smell?
Yes and no. Most mattresses you get shipped to you will have a odor to them due to them being sealed up for shipping. It doesn’t take long for the smells to go away, maybe a day or two at the most.
Is It Rolled Up?
Yes, to cut down on shipping cost the WOLF Slumber Express Pillow Top Mattress comes rolled up. It is a two person lift so don’t break your back trying to move it around by yourself, play it safe.
Just cut the plastic wrap that holds it in without cutting the mattress itself and let it inflate to the proper height.
Do You Need To Let The Mattress Inflate?
Inflate? It’s not an air mattress. Yes, that is correct you still need to let the mattress expand to its full size before using it.
Place the mattress on a flat surface and let it expand to its correct height. I like to give my mattresses a good 72 hours to inflate before I sleep on them. I figure its best to give up 3 days to get many years out of it.
Do You Need A Box Spring?
A box spring will be fine for this type of mattress.
If you want you can even use a platform bed frame which really gives the bedroom a really modern look.
Is It Good For Heavy People?
I hate getting this question because everyone is different. Some people who are heavy like the sinking feeling while others do not. I would say on this mattress to stay away if you’re on the heavy side, but this is just from past experience.
Is It Good For Side/Back Sleepers?
Side sleepers will like this mattress more than back sleepers or even stomach sleepers. If you’re a back sleeper I would stay with the memory foam style mattresses as they give the best support.
