A good mattress pad can make a world of difference to a mattress. Some can make it feel cooler while others can make your mattress feel softer or even firmer.
If you’re like me you need a good mattress pad that doesn’t make you sweat. I get hot very easily and a good cooling style mattress pad is needed.
I came across the Iso Cool Memory Foam Mattress Pad. I want to do a little review on it but I don’t want it to be like all the other reviews on the topper. I’m going to be answering some common questions people have about this topper and others like it.
Does the foam have an odor?
Some of the common issues people have with anything foam is the odor it might give off. This is due to people sleeping on top of the foam and since your nose is so close you can smell it more often. The odor on this topper is not that bad, its there, but I’ve smelled worse. Plus over time the odor goes away.
Do you sink in?
The foam on this topper doesn’t really make you sink in. You can still move around quite nicely.
Hip, shoulder, and other pains
If you have some pains in your hips, shoulders, or other parts of your body then this mattress topper would be in the right direction to help with the pains. Always consult your doctor for any pains.
Does it hang over?
This Iso Cool Mattress pad is a little smaller to keep it from hanging off and damaging sheets and such.
Is it waterproof?
No, it’s not water proof. You can get a mattress protector to solve that issue.
Can you use it on other foam mattresses like Tempurpedic?
Yes, you can use this on other foam mattresses like those Temperpedic mattresses. If you find your foam mattress sleeps a little hot or warm then this would be in the right direction to help with the body heat issue.
How long to expand?
They ship the topper compressed as much as they can to cut down on shipping cost. It will take a few hours to expand. I always let my expand for 24 hours to be on the safe side of things. I guess I weird about that, but I see it worth to give up a few hours for years of extra use.
Is the cover washable?
Yes, the cover on the topper or foam mattress pad is removable and washable. Follow the directions on the tag for washing.
I found that most fitted sheets did not work well since you’re adding about an extra 3 inches to the mattress. You will need deep pocket fitted sheets to make sure you get the correct size fitted sheets.
