There seems to be a pillow craze that is going on called the MyPillow. Tons of infomercials and paid actors saying how great this thing is has got me wondering how good is it really?
I hate these infomercials, they feel like car salesmen porn if you ask me. Everything I see them, which is late at night, I feel very sick.
Is My Pillow Worth It?
The real question is whether or not you should spend your money on MyPillow or is there a better option?
MyPillow is like a type of shredded foam pillow. Let’s be clear, it’s not like most shredded pillows and it does have some unique characteristics to it that you won’t find anywhere else. But it still is a type of shredded foam.
What Would You Recommend?
You can see the reviews that My Pillow has gotten here and have a good idea how people really like it. These reviews are real people and not people paid in an infomercial.
A shredded pillow I prefer is the Coop Home Goods shredded pillow here. I find this pillow to be more popular and more people tend to like it more.
Now it’s hard to find the perfect pillow and to say the My Pillow or the Coop Home Goods is the perfect pillow. Everyone is different and want different things. No matter what the advertisers will say one pillow will not be perfect for everyone.
To find the perfect pillow you really need to try many different types of pillows. I’ll work on a guide to find the perfect pillow and how to figure it out.
The Thing About Shredded Foam Pillows
The thing about having a shredded foam pillow is that when you first get it you should put it in the dryer for about 10 minutes. This will fluff it up especially since they compress them when they ship them. Also things that come out of the dryer feel good from the heat.
Is There A Smell?
Usually, anything foam will have a smell to it. The MyPillow actually didn’t have a smell to me, and got to give them credit for that. All the other shredded foam pillows tend to have a smell to them.
To solve the odor problem all you got to do is place it in the dryer a couple times and it will go away.
The Problem With Shredded Foam
The one problem with anything that is shredded is that it can become lumpy. Often putting the pillow in the dryer will fix the issue, or just fluff it up. I’m a huge fan of shredded foam since it conforms the best to the head and neck than most other pillows.
The Coop Home Goods doesn’t go as flat or lumpy as quick as other shredded foam pillows which is super nice. The best part of the Coop Pillow is that it’s got the soft bamboo feel to it which makes it feel like a higher end pillow than other pillows I have used.
