Review: Coop Home Goods Mattress Protector

If you need a simple but effective mattress protector, then Coop Home Goods has a good one for you. The Ultra Luxe Bamboo Mattress Protector works well to stop spills and even resist dust mites.

There is a lot of information out there on this mattress protector, and we noticed that a good amount of people has some of the same questions. So in this review, we want to answer some of the common questions people might have about this mattress protector before they buy it.

Waterproof

The Ultra Luxe Mattress Protector is waterproof and works well to fight against liquids from pets, perspiration, and other body fluids.

If you’re potty training, this is a great protector to use. Even if you’re not potty training a mattress protector like this one works well to keep your bed protected from any liquids like a soda spill.

Dust Mites

Works well against dust mites and other allergies so you can get a good nights rest.

Also, works well on pet dander and is hypoallergenic too!

Noisy?

This mattress protector is not noisy at all. Feels like and sound like a regular bed sheet.

The best part is that it does not change the feel of the mattress too.

Cleaning

It is very simple to clean this mattress protector pad. Just wash on cold and tumble dry on low heat. You should never use bleach or fabric softener on mattress protectors. Here is a big one, never iron the mattress protectors either, as this could destroy the waterproof protection.

Thickness of Mattress

This mattress protector can fit up to an 18-inch mattress. I would avoid using this on a mattress that is 8 inches or less.

This works fantastic for any mattress between 10 to 15 inches. Works even better on a mattress that are 10 inches with a topper on it.

Bed Bugs

This is not the best thing to use for bed bugs. I would recommend getting a Mattress Encasement so that the whole mattress gets covered.

Sizes

This mattress protector comes in

  • Twin
  • Full
  • Queen
  • King
  • California King

If you don’t know what size mattress you have then check out the mattress chart on the side or at the bottom if you’re on mobile.

Soft To Sleep On

You could sleep on top of this if you wanted to, it is quite soft. I still would recommend getting a bed sheet to give you more comfort.

If you have a mattress topper or pad, then place this over it, so you protect it as well.

Cooling

This mattress protector is one of the protectors we found that many people say it sleeps cool to them. Many people even reported that it sleeps cooler than their last encasement.

If you have an issue with sleeping warm, then I would recommend talking with your doctor to make sure nothing is wrong.

I would also recommend looking at something that actively cools you like a BedJet.

Fitted Sheets

This mattress protector fits like a fitted sheet and does not have a zipper. You only see zippers on mattress encasements which give full protection and can be overkill for most.

If you have a bed bug problem, then an encasement is the only answer, other then that I would still go with just a protector.

Mattresses

Works well on Memory Foam, Spring, Pillow Top, or even Latex Mattresses.
